As consolidated in this year and a half of activity, Studio la Linea Verticale presents at ArtVerona a bipersonal dialogue centered on two dimensions of being: Terrestrial and Ultraterrestrial. The 18th edition of the fair, held between October 12th and 15th, 2023, saw our participation in the Innova section, dedicated to emerging and experimental galleries, with works by Navid Azimi Sajadi (Tehran, 1982) and Francesca Dondoglio (Donato, 1990). The exhibition layout was designed to metaphorically reconstruct a central nave, culminating in its center with Francesca Dondoglio's triptych as an altarpiece, topped by two icons of fullness and emptiness. On the sides, columns display vessels on which protrude symbols, esotericisms, and propitious signs collected from Mediterranean cultures and reinterpreted in the light of contemporaneity by Navid Azimi Sajadi. To amplify and accentuate the "sacredness" of the setup is the measured sense of symmetry and calibrated color placements: blue and red dominate the central scene, light blue, white, and black the lateral ones, with small gold details that appear in both artists' works, an absolute symbol of incorruptibility and eternity. Finally, the outer wall, designed like a facade, whose door, represented by Sajadi's flags, is surmounted by the rose window, a ceramic plate by the artist. On the sides, Dondoglio's two windows invite us to enter another dimension: beyond the symbols of life, the blue of infinity is glimpsed on the horizon. The works exhibited by Francesca Dondoglio were specifically created for the Verona fair, drawing inspiration from the artist's recent permanent installation visible in Castelnuovo Rangone. From Navid Azimi Sajadi, two series are presented: Sigillum, made of ceramics and arranged on the left side, winner of the Montani Tesei Prize at ArtVerona and originally presented at the Castle of Zisa in Palermo, and the Pelagos series, the artist's latest production created during the residency in Bristol at the CFPR Edition and officially presented at Cromwell Place in London
