Abstract:

"In medio coeli" represents a journey into the artistic universe of Francesca Dondoglio, born in 1990. Her unique pictorial exploration is conveyed through chromatic vibrations, within a pictorial space devoid of symbols. Color, interpreted as emotional expression, creates a new symbolism of the possible. Dondoglio, with her chromatic binary code, explores the union of High and Low, Life and Death, in a Middle Way that reflects the duality of human existence.

Roberto Mastroianni offers a perspective on the aesthetic-existential dimension of the artist: "In this cycle of works, born from a dialogue with the poetry and essays of Campo, especially with the essay 'In medio coeli' found in the posthumous collection of writings 'Gli imperdonabili' (1984), the paintings represent a chromatic, aniconic, and non-figurative space where the sign settles in reference to the ultrasensitive. Starting from the dichotomy between the known and unknown, between the visible and the invisible, Campo identifies in fables and poetry the production of images and symbols that allow reaching, through an existential journey, the Kingdom of Heaven or absolute knowledge, the gnostic dimension of spiritual knowledge that all human beings aspire to. This space for poetic language and mythological and fairy-tale metaphors is interpreted and conveyed by Dondoglio through the use of color, transforming poetry into pictorial layering and non-figurative absence".
Alessandro Mescoli presents the new series of works on wood, emphasizing the dialogue between material and color: "Wood, as a living support, preceding and ancestral progenitor of paper, gathers Dondoglio's pastels. Veils and brushstrokes distribute themselves unexpectedly, stumbling and sliding into roughness, furrows, and knots: pre-existing signs that hold, like a breath, chromatic hues and nuances. Francesca acts, operates, and the support decides how to retain, highlighting what, by affinity, chooses to resist and remain, awaiting fixation".

The new exhibition promoted by Raccolta Lercaro:

Francesca Dondoglio's solo exhibition marks the first event of an exhibition series promoted by Raccolta Lercaro, which, through collaboration with galleries, artists, and curators, aims to offer, on a substantially monthly basis, new perspectives on art: "Within the exhibition space of Raccolta," explains Giovanni Gardini, the museum's director, "we want to create an environment for research in contemporary art, a kind of project room, an open space where artists, curators, gallery owners, and academies can find a favorable context for experimentation."

Opening day:

Thanks to the collaboration with Pasticceria Regina Di Quadri, the opening on Thursday, December 14, at 6:00 PM at Raccolta Lercaro will be an opportunity for a Christmas toast and to taste and reserve the limited edition "Sua Maestà" panettone created for a meeting between art and taste.
